about

'Small Man Big Mouth' originally performed by Minor Threat

'Grains' is a kind of reworking of 'Brains' originally performed by Send More Paramedics

'Hamster Baby' originally performed by Bikini Kill

'Love Song' originally performed by The Damned

A while ago we recorded a bunch of covers that we love by bands that mean the world to us and a new HJ song (Vermin) and put it on a CD with a bunch of live songs, some other covers we'd already recorded and an alternate version of 'Skeleton Fight' we'd named 'Skeksis Fight'' .What with the new Dark Crystal series on Netflix being FUCKING GREAT we thought we'd add that on here too.

We'd initially decided to do this as a physical release only as a treat for the folks that put the effort into going to live shows and the CD still includes stuff unavailable online.

Of the covers featured here we've played Hamster Baby (Bikini Kill) a few times live and Love Song (the Damned) live once in Southampton on the same day that the Damned were supposed to play but cancelled, in Southampton.

Jochen and Damo used to cover 'Small Man Big Mouth' all the time in our old band 'Ed Wood' its a great song.

We still have copies of the CD.

Hack Job Portsmouth, UK

3 Chaps from the Southcoast playing fast, angry hardcore punk. (Grindcore and Power Violence as terms/genres get bandied about a lot when describing us too)

We've been going since 2015 and played 100's of gigs/fests with some of the best bands and people.

As of 2019 we've released several records and CD's, some are here.
